For your perfect Languedoc wine tasting tour, join us on a trip to the spectacular stronghold of Carcassone. This stunning walled town is the ideal base to explore the verdant views of the Languedoc-Roussillon and sample some of the finest wines in the region. 
 
Your Languedoc Wine Tasting itinerary: 
 
Day 1 
As you arrive in Carcassone your Languedoc wine tasting experience begins with a selection of local delicacies and some of the region’s finest crus – the perfect pre-dinner wine tasting. Then head out onto the cobbles to choose from the city’s exquisite eateries. 
 
Day 2 
After breakfast there’s no time to waste as you meet your English-speaking guide and head off for your first Languedoc wine tasting. Here’s you’ll learn secrets old and new as you compare the winemaking techniques of yesterday and today. Then it’s off to enjoy lunch in the once-besieged-now-beloved village of Minerve, before another Languedoc wine tasting in a local family-owned domaine. 
 
Day 3 
Take the chance to get under the skin of Carcassone; the fortified town is home to La Cité, one of the most remarkable medieval sights in the world and a deserving UNESCO World Heritage site.

What makes French food special? One of the joys of visiting Languedoc-Roussillon is the glorious wine and food produced here.

Day 1 
As you arrive in Carcassone your Languedoc food and wine experience begins with a selection of local delicacies and some of the region’s finest crus – the perfect pre-dinner wine tasting. Then head out onto the cobbles to choose from the city’s exquisite eateries. 
 
Day 2 
After breakfast there’s no time to waste as you meet your English-speaking guide and spend the morning visiting the bakers, the butchers, the cheese makers, the sausage curers, the vegetable growers in and around Carcassonne. After choosing your ingredients head back to a beautiful 18th Century townhouse to prepare a fabulous lunch using the products you’ve sourced and learn a little of the food traditions of the region. Over lunch you’ll taste some delicious handmade wines from vignerons that are dedicated to producing quality wines from their tiny vineyards and learn a little about food and wine matching. 
 
Day 3 
Take the chance to get under the skin of Carcassone; the fortified town is home to La Cité, one of the most remarkable medieval sights in the world and a deserving UNESCO World Heritage site.
